Take a train instead. Catch the Amtrak at New Brunswick and then you can hook up with a bus or the metro in DC to Silver Springs.

Greyhound has a Bus Stop in Downtown Silver Spring and the closest stop to East Brunswick according to greyhound.com is Allendale.

option: get a train to new brunswick, hop to amtrak direct to washington dc, take a metro ride to silver spring. you don't even have to go out of the station buildings.
