The Liver Foundation recommends Interferon or pegylated Interferon by itself; OR Interferon or pegylated Interferon combined with Ribavirin. There is an alternative therapy, Silymarin [from milk thistle] that is said to be promising as well. The most drastic treatment, is, of course, Liver Transplant. For support and info from others who understand, see http://www.hcvadvocate.org/, http://janis7hepc.com/Support%20Groups.htm, and http://hepatitis-central.com/hcv/support/main.html. Best wishes.
