tried at a lower speed, tried different cd's....no joy! Tried with windows media but it says "no device found/disabled". Not a clue what 2 do now!!????

Try burning them at a slower speed, or reduce the stuff you are putting on them. I've had a number of problems with Nero and other CD burning software. It may also be teh CDs a re not very good quality?

Try burning through your Window Media Player

try cleaning the disc, or try a different one
