I purchased an old laptop. It is a Dell xpi cd (1997)?

Unbeknowst to me, I also needed an ethernet card to connect to high speed cable internet. My question is "does anyone know what kind of ethernet card I need?"

The laptop probably has a PCMCIA slot in it. Get any ethernet card for this slot that is supported by the operating system installed IE: Windows XP, Windows 98, etc...

Another option us a PCMCIA USB card then plug in a USB Ethernet adapter. No it's not better but I got 2 points.
