I do not think so.

I've always thought the shoes should match the pants within reason. Black, blue and gray suites should wear black shoes. Khaki, brown, lighter colors can wear the brown shoes. Also the belts. Brown belt with black or blue pants. Not good.

In this day and age you can wear what you like, depends on what shade of brown the shoes are I suppose, if your going for an interview or to a funeral then no I wouldn't suggest you wear brown shoes with your black suit, otherwise I can't see what all the fuss is about, how many ladies have a different colour handbag to their shoes these days and that so wasn't done at one time was it, go with the flow and relax.

Some do - but it is an weird combination, however if it is
a dark brown tan it will be considered sporty. Most people
will say no, but the best way do go about this is to wear a
black suit, go to the shoe shop of your confidence and trust the seller‘s opinion. A light tan - definitely no!.

I have seen it but not for formal wear. I have seen a charcoal grey suit with brown shoes and a brown tie. Very unusual but I actually liked it. But I would never do so for a wedding or other formal occasion, its too weird for some people.
