Why do people choose not to answer?

Question

1) Is there ever a time when I should not answer a question?

2) When should respond to a request?

3) Why do people tell me to think before I speak?

4) Can you ever ask too many questions?

5) Why do some choose not to answer, when they have the best advice?

1) If it's a serious question, don't be sarcastic with the answer, if you have to be sarcastic, don't answer the question.
2) When you think you have a fairly intelligent answer.
3) No need to have people think you're dumb. Thinking things through avoids stupid answers.
4) Depends if you're in it for the points or not.
5) I try to avoid all confrontational questions. 1) Politics, religion. These are great debate subjects, but you'll never win an argument about them. People believe what they believe and your opinion isn't going to change their minds. 2) Silly "What if" "Who would win a fight between" and the ever annoying "What would you do if," Like most others on here, I could just answer them with a *, get the two points and leave, but I don't.

1. Yes , there is a rule of thumb that if you don't have anything nice to say you need not say nothing at all.
2. when requested immediately.
3. Because you show your intelligence when you answer. and your respect. toward yourself and others.
4. No , but there are stupid question especially like in the Pryor question if you listen most likely the stupid question in the one that was just answered Pryor to asking.
5. They figure there is no hope to getting through to some people and that they would not listen or don't appear to listen there fore is it best left unsaid and let the person learn it on there own,

Because:
they don't know the answer
are too lazy
they find the question offensive
or someone else has already given the same answer!

I think you are only allowed to ask 10 questions a day if you are on Level 1.

2. ASAP
3. Because it is better to be silent and thought of as a fool then to speak and remove all doubt.
4. When you know the answer already.
5. Because the asker should learn for themselves.

Just self lack of knowledge.
May have difficulty in putting words together to come up with an answer.
Sometime we do get misinterpretation and miscommunication and communication failures in getting our message through intercepted by those with self lack of knowledge themselves.
That is why our creator gave us the universal communication system in the new universal language for all living human kind to master for our own survival on planet earth.
Notice what happened to cats and dogs barking and meowing out there on planet earth that ended in throwing pots and pans in bashing up one another on planet earth.

May-be some dont have the answer to your questions or it coukd be it doest interest them.I have posted some and didnt get alot of answers either but some have answered alot.I dont know .dont let it get you down and keep on asking,or answering.Have a nice day.

3) so you don't come off looking stupid!
4) No.....Questions = answers = knowledge...as long as the questions aren't of stupid nature!
5) The question doesn't interrest them at that time!

1.) When you don't know the answer
2.) When you are inclined to aquiest the request
3.) Maybe they think that you don't
4.) Never
5.)Because they are just plain lazy
