get a syringe and shoot it down his throat
make sure you have him on a decent food - in Canada the best you can feed is NUTRAM - for UTI it is even better than the crap the vet will try to sell you (interestingly enough the vets dont receive alot of education on food ingredients and brands so most sell what one of the brands that are marketed through other vet offices and most of them are crap - Science Diet, Walthams... read the lables and compare with a super premium food - you will also see they are over priced for their quailty)

Here's what I did. Using a dropper or syringe (no needle, of course) that's big enough, get it to the back of the mouth, behind where he can arch his tongue. It's possible to do it from the side, but easier for me straight on. Do it quickly so there's as little stress as possible. Now, how to get him to let you. Use a towel big enough but thin enough to wrap him up tightly. No, really good and tight so he can't get a leg free. The skill is in the wrapping. Don't leave him wrapped too long or he'll figure a way to worm his way out and it'll be harder to restrain him next time. Good luck.

Please don't put it in his water, he has a UTI you need him to drink all he will and that might put him off.
Wrap him tightly in a towel like you would a baby and squeeze in in from the side of his mouth. Another alternative may be to go back to the vet and ask for it in capsule form, it could be easier to give him and quicker.

wrap him up from his shoulders down in a towel.. pull it tightly so he cant get his feet out. have someone help with the medicinne.. put it to the side of his mouth towards the back, but do not go from the front down his throat, as this can choke him. my himalayan cat is blind but prone to uti's so we do this quite often.

Ask your vet for a seringe, of course you will have to hold kitty down and shoot the liquid antibiotic down his troath, it might sound cruel but its for his own good. Give him a healthy cat treat (sold at the vet clinic) afterword. Good luck.

put him in a pillowcase with his head sticking out and place him on a table now place him under one of your arms and with the other hand open his mout and pour medicine in maybe you can get a medicinal syringe from drug store you can get them overhere in the uk ,they are sold especially for children.put the medicine in the side of his mouth rather than in the front as they swallow it better then and hold his mouth shut until he has swallowed.you could try mashing it in salmon tinned but i dont think that would work

If hes not going for it in his food, try putting it in a cat treat, or in his water dish.
and if those dont work, wrap him up in a towel, that always works for me.
and i ont know if your vet told you, but you should switch toa lower ash food, something like Pro Plan, Iams, Eukanuba,or Science Diet, those are all very good cat foods.

is this a pill or a liquid, if it is a pill you can call your vet and see if you can crush it up and put it in water and syringe feed it to him, or just ask your vet for a liquid form of the med and that is the easiest way to give medicine toa cat.
