I have used the drivers from the disk and downloaded from the website. I have checked the cable to make sure it was connected and working properly. I am running Windows XP Home SP2. I am at a loss as to what to do next.

try uninstalling the drivers and plugging in the camera. it should sho w up as removable disk under my computer (i think, because i have an aiptek camera as well. it sucks. im not a big fan of aiptek myself ) then install mega dv manager(if they even use that anymore), and if you see video from your camera, then you should be fine. then when your using a program that uses a webcam, click select webcam, and then you should be able to find it something mega dv under a list of installed cameras. at least this was how it worked on my computer, using an aiptek pocketdv cam with same os as you and sp2. hope this helps!
