SEE , there your at it again , which one of the Germanic languages is the GREATEST . nya nya nya nya nya .
Don't we have language as a gift in order to be better able to communicate , one with another , or have I got that all bassackwards and it is really a weapon with which we have to compete one with another , instead of co-operate !
Really , to the person who put this question up , am I missing something or what , give me an answer , email me !

No language is greater than any other. They have all evolved to meet the needs of their speakers perfectly and as the needs of each language community are slightly different, you can't apply comparative value judgments to them. You can have a personal preference, of course, and in my case I have a great liking for Danish, because the speakers of it have a great sense of humour.

I'd like to think Icelandic - it's the most unadulterated (read: infected by Anglicisms) of the Germanic languages...

Dont know how many or exactly which ones they are so I would have to suggest 'German'. I have a sneaking suspicion you may class English as one of these in which case I would change my answer.
Is this a third Reich question?

It has to be German. I'm afraid the Battle of Hastings and William the Bastard (Guillaume le Bâtard) didn't just bring our land Norman overlords, it banished and mongrelised the English tongue as well.

I´d say, Swedish it is a mix of English, German, latin and lil french , it doesn´t sound as rough as when ppl speak german and it has a nice melody ....
