I use WORD 2oo2 and I'd like to know whether there a way to bookmark THE LAST WORD I TYPED in a document. Apparently the only way is to highlight the line and then scroll the pages the following time I open the document, which is rather long and boring.
On my old MAC I could go back 4 steps and easily copy , paste and then go backwards and forwards in the two points I was copying and pasting. NOW there is no way to do so. Every time I have to scroll the pages to find the point I was writng at.
Am I totally stupid or there's really no way to jump to and fro in a document in this super new program (!!!)

Yes, you can do all of it in Word. I use Word 2003, so i assume Word 2002 has identical or very similar functionality. Here's what you need to do:

1. Create a bookmark.
First click in the middle of the word that you typed last, then go to Insert -> Bookmark. Type in a name and click Add. You have just bookmarked the last word you typed in the document.


2. Show all bookmarks.
Go to Tools -> Options. In View tab make sure Bookmarks checkbox is checked. Now all bookmark locations should show a gray steady cursor.


3. Go to a bookmark.
Go to Insert -> Bookmark. You should see the list of all previously created bookmarks. Choose the one you created in step 1 and click Go To.
