People worship God not because of fear that God might punish them. They worship because they know that only god can help them when they are in their last legs.Only god can do the most impossible things in the world. He is a supreme being who only cares about us. Many may think that God is punishing them, actually God is giving you problems in your life thinking that one day you will be a perfect human being who has come across all the problems of life. A God who doesn't like other people is not at all a God.God never cheats anyone. He is eternal. People worship God because they get a satisfaction that God is there with them in whatever they do and those people prosper well in their life. They know that only God knows what will happen to them tomorrow. So,people worship God not because of fear but thinking that God may help them in their time of trouble.

Have a nice day.

Read the Bible. If you don't worship god, he kills you. If he doesn't kill you, he throws you into a lake of fire for all eternity. Sometimes he'll torture you and strip away everything you hold dear to test your faith, on a dare. Occasionally he wipes out entire cities for sinning, and once he destroyed the entire human race and every living thing on the planet (except for a boatload of animals and a few humans).

Well, that's what the Bible says, but people worship for different reasons. People like to have something to believe in, there are good things in Christianity, and most people take those good things and try to apply them to the rest of their lives. For a lot of people, it's a source of authority to tell them what's right and wrong, and validation that they're doing the right thing with their lives.

I worship God with love. The heart of the worship is surrender. The surrender is not very popular word these days, but I put all my faith to my Lord.

I was trying too hard...to be a good person, to rise this kid, to save this marriage, to make this business work etc etc...Now when I live by faith, I can leave all that to my Lord. He will take care of me. It is so much better that way. He knows what is the best for me. I rely on His wisdom.

I personally worship God because I believe that he is my creator, and that the Bible is His words. I do not fear God in a bad way, but I have a healthy fear of God, because He is all powerful. He has the keys to death and to life.

John4:21 ( Jesus said to her, Woman believe me the hour is coming when you will neither on this mountain nor in jerusalem , worship the Father. You worship what you do not know , ......we know what we worship for salvation is of the jews. But the hour is coming and now is when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him, God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth
Three key things stood out to me here. The woman at the well was told
You worship what you do not know. The Father seeks true worshipers.
God is spirit , and those who worship him must worship him in spirit and truth.
This got me to thinking, is it possible we can be worshiping what we dont know.
Is it possible we can think we are worshiping God and yet not know him.
Well, in the end we know we will hear either one or two things. Enter in my good
and faithful servent. or depart from me ( I never knew you) this tells me its
so very important to know him. Worship isnt about what God has done, but
worship is about who God is. David lost his son and after his son died, the word
says , David washed his face and worshiped God. We have to believe that
when things are not seeming to be well in our life, we must trust him and worship him
for he is always good. Sometimes we can even get side tracked and unknowingly
be worshiping the wrong things. Church, music, gifts, works....not that these things
are bad, just we should take care in always placing God above them all. Man was
created to worship. The drug addict worships the next high, the rich man worships
his money, some leaders worship their possitions. The object of worship is so
important. Praise has to do with what God has done. but Worship has to do with
who God is. The Father actually seeks true worshipers. who worship in SPIRIT
AND TRUTH. If we really worship God he will start identifying things in our lives
and say this is good and this has to go. and we will be willing to do what he wants.
We will be changed.
ISAIAH 40:31 THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH. THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES. THEY SHALL RUN AND NOT BE WEARY AND THEY SHALL WALK AND NOT FAINT....WAIT IN HEBREW MEANS BIND TOGETHER, TARRY EXPECTANTLY. RENEW IN HEBREW MEANS TO CHANGE...THEY THAT TARRY EXPECTANTLY UPON THE LORD SHALL CHANGE...

Because man is spirit and God is His spiritual Father.

Rabi'ah (eighth century), prayed: 'O God! Were I to worship Thee for the fear of Hell, consign me to that Hell, and were I to worship Thee in expectation of Paradise, deny me that Paradise, but if I worship Thee for Thine own sake, withhold not from me the Eternal Beauty.'
(H.M. Balyuzi, Muhammad and the Course of Islam, p. 276)

Sooner or later many men would see that they need so much something more beautiful, more true, more real than the pleasures of this life, and they will start seeking for it.

Fear does not mean scared of. It means a form of reverence and a feeling that you absolutely should. I worship Him because I love Him. God is my all and all.

Why do we worship God. I worship God as my Father in heaven and the creator of all things around me. I thank Him for giving me life and forgiving me for my sins. I also am grateful that He gave us set of guidelines to live by or laws I do not fear God. I fear not obeying His words anfd being punished to the fires of hell. But thanks to His forgiveness I can seek redemption for my sins.

The higher power has been an enourmous influence in my life. I always have everything I need. I grow, learn, and continue to become healthier and happier every day through my faith.

I am thankful for what I have and know that without the Higher power, I would not be able to do what I can or to have what I do.
