It depends on your age and what you're into. If you're in your late teens and early twenties and are into clubbing, head to Andalucia, Spain. If you're into the arts at any age, go to France, Italy or Germany and tour the museums and Cathedrals. If you're up for adventure look New Zealand, Africa, or Australia for tours and safaris. Obviously, if you want tropical or beauty go to Hawaii, the Mediterranean, Greece, or some other island destination.
To be honest though, I found Spain to be the best place to visit. I've lived in NY and Hawaii, been to Austria, Hungary, and Puerto Rico but Spain was always the most amazing trip. I was there for 2 weeks, and took a Spanish course . With the course, which was filled with both young and old people, we took tours of the Spanish countryside going to Cordoba with the most beautiful sceneries and mosques, Ronda where you can learn the history of Bullfighting and have the most amazing cup of coffee in one of the sidewalk cafes. Granada with it's rolling hills and white roofed houses and flower festivals where they line the streets with intricate designs of flower petals. Then there is the Costa Del Sol, beautiful beaches, and pubs, clubs, and restaurants that run the full length of it. I had a guinness in an Irish pub run by an Englishman on the coast of spain, right next to a night club. It was the most amazing two weeks of my life. The best part is, you're in the middle of Europe, and close to everything.

I would say my two favorite places to travel are Jamaica and Amsterdam. Two distinctly different places, but it depends on what kind of mood I'm in :). When I go to Jamaica I like to go down to the Treasure Beach area, where there aren't a lot of tourists, and just do nothing but lay on the beach, chat with the locals and drink some rum. When I'm in Amsterdam, I want to do everything - there are so many museums to see and things to do!
