By word, example, and by his apostles.

Most church leaders want their sheep to evangelize. It doesn't work for them because it is not a main part of their function.
In other words, church leaders want their sheep to do the same thing, but if they asked them to, they would get little to no volunteers.

Act 5:42 And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.

Act 20:20 how I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,

Luke 10:1 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them on ahead of him, two by two, into every town and place where he himself was about to go.

Mat 24:14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come

I have never been mad at anyone knocking on my door but I do get upset when they won't go away when you ask. I am not a Christian but I am a believer and I have heard all about the Mormon and Jehovah's Witness' religions. I tell them I don't want to hear it and they fight with me. All ic an say is that if the rest of the Christians had the evangelical zest that the Mormons have then there would only be Christians after 2000 years. I bet the Mormons will rule the world in 2000 years!

Who is mad at Jehoah's witnesses? I have some Jehovah's witnesses as friends and we have talked in depth about the gospel. I have their literature and have read it. The reason we oppose their so called evangelizing is because they preach another and false gospel of works and law, not grace and faith. "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast". (Ephesian 2:8-9)

They even preach a different Jesus that Christians. They would not deny this. "Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let him be eternally condemned! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let him be eternally condemned!" (Galatians 1:7-9)
What is most important is not that we preach but that we preach the "truth in love".

Yes; Jesus did tell us to evangelize, Matthew 28:19-21.
The WatchTower, however detracts from the position of Jesus as being God. Their grasp the New Testament Greek is terrible, for example, New Testament Greek only has one article, THE, IN 24 forms of it. In addition, there is no indefinite article in the Greek, yet the Watch Tower applies it to John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God, and the Word was (a) god.
There is no justification for this translation. One problem is word order is not important, except to express a thought; second the article isn't always present. This is the Greek redition, In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with the God, and God was the Word. This establishes Jesus' position was God.
The word for the in this passage is O' (hoy) It is in the first person, masculine, singular. The article preceeds the Word(Logos), to point to the divinity of Jesus. But one also must notice that no article preceeds God(theos) in, "and God was The Word. The Watch Tower deliberately strips Jesus of His deity, thus relegating Him to a lesser god. Their interpretation is absolutely wrong.

NO, He did not!! He told us to go out and TEACH. Much different than preaching. I can preach and put someone to sleep but to teach is to get them totally involved and present them things they may have never heard before. WE all should be more like the Jehovah Witness as they are doing what Jesus told us to do. They may be annoying to some that don't want to hear anything about God but to a lot of people, they are hungry for the Word and there are some that go out as Jesus commanded to teach and are put down for it. So what is your excuse for not going out to teach others about Jesus?

saying "we" are mad at Jehovahs Witnesses is a generalization, and all generalizations are false, including this one.

Some are mad, but I don't think they should be. I am personally not mad at them and have had some pretty nice conversations with them. I admire them for their faith to go out and preach it, Something I am not able to do. I woul dmuch rather have Muslims, or Islamic people knocking on my door preaching their ideas to me, rather than attempting to kill as many of us as possible. Some actually do do that, and I commend those who try to place their ideas on others by peaceful and loving means.

I am not mad at them. But it would be a better use of their time and any door to door Evangelists, even Christians, to preach the Gospel with their lives and only speak to strangers when specifically led by the Holy Spirit. Otherwise it is dead works and accounts for nothing.

Salvation comes by grace. Without the grace of God going before you, you will accomplish nothing.

Good morning people of God

i love preaching and teaching the gospel, i have a daughter that is not saved, and i tell her the word all the time, because i want her to get saved, she lives in an ungodly life style and do not want to hear about the kight of JESUS, i tell her all the times about repentence and heaven, she does not call me at all because of this, but i continue to pray for her, 2 months ago she got very ill, i called her and prayed for her, and the tumor left her brain. but this very day, she will not call me, still do not want to hear about salvation.
she forgot that jesus healed her from that brain tumor.

The world is like a field. We are to be as farmers or planters. We are to scatter seeds.

We are not planting little plants into the soil, nor are we to drill holes into the ground and plant a seed, nor are we to plow the field and plant seeds with a sludge hammer.

We are to drop seeds, that's all!

God will water, warm with the sun, fertilize, and grow the seed, not us.

I think sometimes we spread too much fertilizer!
