There is a Buckeye tree. It produces nuts that I don't think can be eaten. My Grandmother always had a buckeye nut in her handbag. She said if you keep one there you will always have money!

A Buckeye is a type of North American Tree or Shrub. Ohio is known as the Buckeye State, since it's State Tree is the Buckeye.

The name "Buckeye" refers to it's similar appearance to the nut which has a brown patch in the middle of it, causing it to look like an eye of a deer.

In Michigan, a Buckeye* is a useless nut.

There's also some kind of tree or something with a fruit or something called a buckeye, or whatever.

In Michigan a buckeye is a homemade candy.

Peanut butter and conf. sugar, shaped like a small meatball
with your hands, dipped in warm liquidy chocolate with a toothpick, so the choc. does not totally cover the ball(about 3/4 around) so it looks like and eye.

After cooling on a wire rack, remove toothpick and plate.
