Well I'm not British but I think he was a great man. A real hero. A man who proved it to not only to his own nation but also to all third world nations that they needed no one but themselves. A man who valued every single soul. I especially praise him for his repulsion at violence. Gandhi is a role model for everyone caring about humans. I bow to his memory.

Gandhi did a lot of passive Resistance in South Africa (my home country) as well. All to oppose the racism and hatred of the time.
I think he was a great man, and very strong for suggesting people be passive, when others thought violence was the only answer.
I admire what he did.

I think Gandhi was an honorable man, he showed the world that peaceful protest could bring change and violence is not always the answer in trying to remove injustice..

From what I know of him Gandhi was a good man and a true hero.

Another murdered man of peace. One of the last of his kind. The conservative forces in the world have learned from him and now pre-empt with murder of those that stand a chance of gaining a following.
