Egg Foo Young is like a chinese omelet with veggies and meats.
Moo Goo Gai Pan is mushrooms and chicken in a light sauce.

chinese food......yum. Moo Goo Gay Pan is made with chicken (white meat) and veggies in some kind of white sauce. I dont care for it too much..but I love most chinese food. I dont know what is in egg foo yung....except eggs! lol

they are chinese dishes. egg foo yung is made of egg and other ingredient, such as seafood, beef , pork. it depends on what kinds of egg foo yung you order. it is fried. moo goo gay pan is mushroom saute with sliced chicken ( with sauce)

They're 'Americanized' Chinese food created by the Chinese immigrants who came here during the CA goldrush. They couldn't find the ingredients that they normally were able to get back in their homeland, so they had to make do with what they could find.
You'll never find that stuff in China.
It's sort of like the way people think Taco Bell is real Mexican food, when it's not. You'll never find that in regular Mexican restaurants (in Mexico).

egg foo yung is chinese style scrambled eggs and you can add veggies, or shrimps.
Moo Goo is a cantonese phenetic translation for mushroom, and gai pian literally means chicken slices so it is stir-fry chicken with mushrooms

Egg foo young is like a chinese food omlette, with vegetables, and sometimes other stuff, depdning of it says like pork egg foo young, etc. . ..I don't know about the other one thuogh.
