RELAX. All babies do come out eventually. Anywhere from 38 to 42 weeks is a normal length for your pregnancy. How certain are you of your due date?

You think you're tired now? It won't get better after the birth! Babies need to feed around the clock when they are newborns. You'll be up off and on all day and night feeding the baby. If you are tired, take this chance to rest now while you can! Your baby will never be easier to care for than s/he is right now in your belly!

You are far enough along that you could start using evening primrose oil (EPO) to ripen your cervix. This WILL NOT induce labor, but can help get your body ready for labor. Take 2 capsules before bed and insert them up near your cervix. If you want, you can prick them with a pin and squeeze the oil out and massage it in around your cervix.

Walk a lot to bring baby down into your pelvis and put more pressure on your cervix. BUT don't wear yourself out!

Go get a massage. This will help take away the aches and pains of pregnancy. It will help relax you. It will balance your body for labor and that will make labor easier!

Consider seeing a chiropractor, again this will help to get your body in balance.

Have lots of sex. Semen will ripen the cervix and orgasm can cause contractions which might turn into labor.

Go get a haircut or a manicure. Pamper yourself. You won't have time for it once baby arrives.

Don't let yourself get frustrated. NOTHING will work to bring on labor if your body and baby aren't ready yet.

Most of all.....relax.....be patient.....trust in your body and your baby to know when it is time!

NONONONONONONO!!! Castor Oil (i'm guessing that's what you're speaking approximately) isn't solid to take. It does not unquestionably bring about labour, it somewhat is going to easily provide you diarrhea and which could make you dehydrated that's risky for the toddler. some risk-free methods of inducing labour are raspberry leaf tea and intercourse (I did the two at 38 a million/2 weeks and had my daughter 2 days later so i'm no longer able to enable you be conscious of which it replaced into that worked!) the two help ripen the cervix and bring about contractions. you additionally can attempt utilising down a bumpy highway, eggplant parmigiana and pineapple that have all been mentioned to artwork (in spite of the undeniable fact that with little or no information....yet a minimum of they're risk-free.).

You think you are tired now, wait until this baby gets here! I would rest while you can.
But all the suggestion's I"ve read sound like the same things I heard. Sex, walking, spicy food, car rides over bumpy roads. In the end Iwas induced all 3 times. First 2 only had to break my water, the third had to do pitosin, but it wasn't that bad. Good luck and congrats

Your baby can come at any day now. You should know this since it is your second child. I think that since you held the baby for 9 months....I think that you can wait for how ever many days you have left. I understand tired. My second child came a day before he was due. Was due June 9th and he came on the 8th. My first child was a preemie and he was 9 weeks early. He was due August 5th and he came out June 1st. I know tired. I think that you are going to be ok. Just rememember that you won't get much sleep when the baby actually arrives. sit back, relax, enjoy your time with you other child and when it's time for this baby to come then you can complain that your tired...

There are three things I read about and tried them all, so I don't know which did the trick. Laughing a lot, eating spicy food and walking.

Avoid having labor induced at the hospital, if possible.

Good luck!

sex sex sex...there is a chemical in the sperm that can help make you efface. Also, take evening primrose oil. You can buy it in any pharmacy it's with the herbals. It will do the same thing. They also say raspberry leaf tea. I just enjoyed the taste of it. But the primrose tablets and sex worked for me. Good luck and congrats!

Oh and if you are not used to walking then walk walk walk. I walked everyday during my pregnancy and it did nothing for me to speed labor. Spicy food was the same way. I was so used to eating it.

When I was 39 weeks pregnant I was miserable! We tried sex, walking, spicy food etc.... and nothing worked! I ended up going into labor on my own when I was a day past my due date! But just because those things did not work for me doesn't me you shouldn't try! And try to relax....
