It's a rat. Is this safe? She's always hugging and kissing it, and I think it peed in her bed.

Well rats are trainable, aren't they? They're always teaching them to do amazing things in lab mazes.
Train it up to pee elsewhere (sorry, the peeing in the bed thing grosses me out), and maybe some other useful things like biting door to door Evangelists.
Give it a bath, & you should be good to go. Oh, and make sure your daughter has had all her shots. Just to be on the safe side.

No offence, but probably not a good idea. Rats are great pets, we've had them, but they have a tendency to get lost or loose (chewing on electrical cords and such). If it should get under her pillow and her, for that matter, and get suffocated (die), that would be a horrible thing to happen for her.
Best place for ratty is in his rat cage which can be kept near her bed. Great choice for a pet though!!

That really doesn't sound safe to me. Rats can carry all kinds of diseases and aren't good to have around.

get a cage!!! an animal of that kind in bed with a child so young is not good.Would you like rat pee in your bed.
