No.
Better nutrition means that on average teenagers are taller now that 30 or 50 years ago.
However, to be 7-feet tall you would need some serious 'height' genes. Diet alone will not make people any taller than a few inches above those from previous generations.

They are Taller these days because Food is Plentiful, therefor they are better nourished. Years ago there was rationing and children did not get the vitamins they need. So no I don't think there will be Giants in 50 years time

only if they wear platform shoes. LOL

for evolution to change the structural composition of human tissue, bones, skin etc, it takes at least 3 generations. I think you are looking at more than a 100 years. In the US it may be quite possible, in view of the amount of hormones injected in livestock and other generic modified food products, which in the end will have an effect on the human cellular structure. Europe has a restrictions and a large proproation of the UK population only buy Organic grown foods, free range eggs and farm stock.

i'm no longer completely beneficial what you're conversing approximately. because of fact that I stay in Wisconsin each little thing is controlled via close by markets. My farm to illustrate is a closed equipment. In dairy farming increasing earnings is pushed via stable administration. i can not vouch for my pink meat opposite numbers yet you do no longer make money "taking photos up" your cows. i've got viewed my milk being made into cheese. i be responsive to there is not any ingredients or drugs interior the main suitable product. in certainty it rather is unlawful. as far because of fact the whole enhance hormone scare all milk has enhance hormone in it. it rather is produced via your physique a woman breast feeding is giving her newborn enhance hormone. company farms are suffering in this us of a purely seem at California an industry nightmare. government subsidies are no longer almost sufficient. expenses are controlled via the government for a reason. Uncle Sam rips me off in different words yet supplies farmers barely sufficient as to no longer push them decrease than. it rather is why nutrition is so low-priced in case you paid the honest fee for my milk it would be $50 a gallon. So stop annoying because of fact i will out compete the companies or stay long sufficient to alter into them;)

No. Evolution takes longer than that, and needs to be the result that the height causes them to survive. The other possibility is that the Human organism gets better food as that time passes, that allows Humans to reach full potential (human fertilizer - interesting thought).

I hope not - i'm only 5 foot and find it difficult enough as it is!! Whilst the majority of teenagers are taller than me, they are not giant by any stretch of the imagination!

Its possible.......kids these days are so much bigger....and taller than they were when I was a teen. I coach a fastpitch team of 12 and under girls....and we played tournaments last month.....I saw some 11 year olds that were 5'6 seriously. My daughter is almost 11 and shes 5'2...thats how I know how tall they were. Im only 5'6 and her dad is 6'0, so were average. I think its the hormones in all the meat....seriously.

I don't know - I haven't noticed teenagers being any taller these days.
Then again, people do tend to be taller than their parents - so maybe you're right!

Your assessment is right in may places like in Europe, especially in Netherlands. It totally depends on standard of living. Better standard of living will ensure more nutrition thereby leading to increased height. IN countries, which score relatively low in growth index, this theory may not hold good.

I think then we need to make some changes in basketball and volleyball to retain its entertainment part.
