Well this is a multi layered answer,
If your new to us, we close our eyes so that we can really feel what that kiss will mean to us. If your a crappy kisser (and believe me many men are) we leave them closed.
Really women know by the kiss just how much they really desire you. That first kiss always tells us weather we will have sex with you or not.
Women run from men who kisses are like a bull dog trying to force it's tongue to the back of your tonsils, men who drool while kissing, and men who have no passion or style in the kiss.
Kissing is really an art form that should express passion with skill.
I knew when I was in real love when the day came that I had to look at my husbands face while kissing him or having an orgasm with him. The eyes really are the windows to the soul.

That means the woman is really into, you shouldnt want the person to look back at you. That creates an ackward moment and makes it seem like youre doing something wrong!

the majority of people men and women close their eyes while kissing it heightens the senses and most men don't look all that pretty that close up

because it is a passionate thing consented by both parties....try to kiss while eyes are open and you'll end up having a crossed eye...lol...
