There is no reason why, after your wounds have settled, you cant drink. But you stomach is so tiny that you will fill up too quickly and you are needing to take in approprite nutrients and food to keep your energy levels up and to aid in the healing process. So drinking too often will defeat the whole purpose of having the bypass. Maybe its the drinking that has given the weight problem in the first place.

It's usually discouraged for the first month or so. After that, alcohol is OK, but you have to be VERY careful. You won't react to it the same as before the surgery. Even very small amounts could make you quite drunk.

first thing
1. let your body have good time to repairer from this surgery
2. eat good foods to help the healing time
3. drink a lot of water
4. get good sleep
5. after a good amount of time then do a little bit of workouts and see if that feels okay with your body and then just add a little more each month
DON'T OVER DO IT FAST
or your going to regret it badly.

Yes you can, but don't drink much. My gram had it and she drank like half of a smirnoff twisted tea, and she was a little drunk.
