Here it is- it has worked for my 2 kids, and others after I tell them........

1. get m and m's handy
2. get a small potty chair
3. get a couple books about potty
4. you need to be home for about 4-5 days straight
5. now you can start. let them run around bare-but
6. Set the timer for 1/2 hour. Tell him/her to sit on the potty for 5 min. (read them a book in the mean time if it's to long for them.) If they go, give lots and lots of praise!!! I mean go crazy!! Give them about 3 m and m's.
7. Set the timer for 1/2 hour
8. Avoid asking the question "you got to go potty?'
9. Timer goes off- ok! What does that mean junior? Time to go potty again he or she would say, or you say it if they don't
10. repeat process all day long. If they go # 2 in the potty, reward with a handful of m and m's. They are very colorful and kids love them!!

11. Praise praise praise. I do spank my kids for behavior problems such as lying, disobedience, and bad attitudes, but never for having an accident. If there is an accident, clean it up queitly, and don't say much at all. Remind them it's ok, but try to make it in the potty next time, or in your own words.

Good luck!!! Hope this helps you. My girl was potty-trained in two days with the method. Took my 2 1/2 year old son a week. Leave pull-ups on them at night just in case.
p.s. if this doen't work at all, try again in a few months.

My mom is a daycare provider, try these things...

Everytime he succesessfully uses the toilet, give him 2 M&Ms or other sweets, and stop letting him have too much sugar until he starts potty- training.

You can get him potty trained with several other methods, such as convincing him with the pros about being potty trained (no more diaper changing, etc.), but the Nappies... my friend is potty trained and still wears nappies, and he's eight. So You still have several more years before diaper wearing at an old age even becomes a problem.

The very best way is......go visit someone else with a child about the same age. Have your child follow the other to the bathroom when the other child is using the toilet. The old saying "monkey see monkey do" is true. My oldest son's babysitter used to say "potty time" and the kids would like up for the toilet. They witnessed kids their age using it and following right along. No one wanted to be "left out" -- how cool it that? So simple....yet, not always easy if there are no other chldren around the same age.

i also have a 3yr old who is very afraid of the toilet. The best advice i can give you is just to let your 3 yr old decide when the time is right for him/her to start using the toilet. we have tried everything with our son and pushing him and trying to force him to get used to the toilet doesn't work. It may take longer than you had expected but if you wait then he/she will be ready and things will go smoothly

I have never heard of nappies but take him to buy his own big boy underware and I had put some cheerios in there had him aim for them like a game they also have these tablets that you can drop in and when he pees it will turn the water colors those were fun--reward him for trying--stay away from pull=ups,go straight from diapers to underware there might be alot of accidents and might take awhile but it works my son would go in the toilet for a week and then go for weeks wearing diapers it took 3 times before HE was ready be patient

Fist off is this a boy or girl.
If girl ask her is she wants to potty like mommy, a big girl.
If boy ask him if he wants to potty like daddy, a big boy.
You also need to give the boy the choice of how he wants to potty, either standing or sitting. I have 4 kids 3 girls and then i have my boy he is my youngest, he wanted to potty like daddy but dad worked so much that i had to show him, no i didnt hold it for him i just placed his hands were they should be, it worked, also read to them find something they would like to have after they use the potty like a reward, candy, toy, ect. All kids are different and they will potty when they are ready just dont force it, or it will take longer for them to get out of "nappies" be pateint

i enable mine be bare at residing house with a potty seat contained in the open if he went on the floor i sparkling it up and tell him and coach him the position it is going if he went contained in the potty (even a touch) i gave him an animal cracker i did not tell him this turned right into a deal previously hand in hardship-free words after he wanting to apply the potty i gave it to him each and every time till it become set we are nevertheless engaged on #2 yet it is because squatting is easier than sitting with or with no diaper yet he continues to be dry on an same time after we go paying for etc nevertheless have not were given naps or drowsing dry yet yet no longer particularly attempting yet as he's in hardship-free words 2 absolutely do not rigidity it for the sitting on the potty component yet letting him go nude even jointly with his protest for the diaper can help you out i tell mine at the same time as he's not slumbering that he can both positioned on underclothes or be bare yet he would not favor a diaper till nap time so he does no longer get one any protests supply up immediately once he realizes that it will do no good
