You probably can't. My friends asked me how far we were going to go on our honeymoon. I told them all the way to Las Vegas. Then, my wife complained once that I promised her I was going to take her to Miami for our anniversary. I said no, baby, I told you I was going to Tampa with you. Get it? "Tampa" with you.

Convince him to stop in Texas long enough to use the bathroom. Steal the keys when he isn't looking and tell him to get in the back seat and shut up for awhile. Drive to the nearest hotel and check in. If he wants to get out, great. If he doesn't....leave him in the backseat (make sure the windows are cracked) and bring him some grape kool aid. This might help him to stop pouting.

Puzzling. You say you want to stop in Texas and resume driving in the morning. To where ? Will you ever reach California or will your boyfriend be like Granma Joad who caught a glimpse of the promised land and died.It sounds like you have some long hard miles in front of you.

Respect is one of the most important building blocks in a relationship. It sounds like all he wants from you is sex and does not understand the phrase, "I AM NOT READY". If I were you, I would seriously take a few steps backwards and really wonder if you want to stay with this guy. It is obvious that he thinks with the wrong head. Get out now before he starts to control you.

Even if you do stop in Texas, you can still go all the way.
Take hold of the wheel and decide where, when and how you would like to drive. Stop as often as you wish. Most likely, he will agree to that.... :))

Texas! You're going the wrong way!! What is he thinking?? You should've been half way to St. Louis by now.
No wonder he's driving you crazy!

Well, I would imagine that a lovely young thing as yourself, so adept at wordplay, should be able to convince your boyfriend of the merits of a layover, but perhaps he is not ready for that sort of commitment.

I say if he is willing to take responsibility for the consequences, then let him go all the way. He will probably be really tired afterwards, but he is an adult (hopefully), so I would let him do it his way. You might decide he was right after all.
