The Buddah and Jesus are alike in some ways. They both traveled alot. They both had followers. They both taught a non-violent path to paradise. They both feltt hat life on earth was suffering. They both at some point in history died and after that death the teachings were totally screwed up by people. Christ didn't found a religion he just wanted people to love eachother. I am not christian but i am so tired of all the negative thinsg said about Christ everywhere. Many religions claim to follow him and many people claim to act in his name but none of them do. If you want to know what Christ was about here are a few quotes.
Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends
This is my command: Love each other.
If someone strikes you on one cheek, turn to him the other also. If someone takes your cloak, do not stop him from taking your tunic. If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles.
You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor[h] and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you
By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another
If you love me, you will obey what I command.
Again it is not that I am a Christian but I love the teachings of Christ and The Buddha. I don't understand how anyone can read the above and still blame Christ for all of the evil things done in his name. The Buddha and Christ would have been friends I think.

You can't, because Buddhism is not a religion but philosophy. The Buddha was a normal person, but the first to reach enlightenment.
One is about working on improving yourself, the other in believing in something according to strict guidelines. Totally incompatable.

Buddhism is an education about life that gives you freedom of your actions with the understanding that you will reap the consequences. Christians are told to follow certain rules and will suffer if they dont. Same principles, different structures.

Two different beliefs - two different ways of thinking - two different people teaching two different things !
That's why people are given a thing called the brain - to think and decide to them selves as to what is right. If christians were given a free will, there would be no christians at all - they fear the mythical God, that's why they do every thing to please him.
