I was just curious as to what this means. I've had several people tell me I am an 'Old Soul', but I haven't heard a very clear explanation of it. Thanks guys.

Means that in spite of your age..even if very youthful, you have a prescence about you that suggests wisdom and level headedness that usually only comes from life experience..perhaps..thats just my opinion though on it...sounds right. Love in Christ, ~J~ <><

Man, this is like 8 years old.. been searching for answers too and not found resonance.. old soul, you give a shi*, you have so much compassion, you are drawn to people that need comforting and understanding.. acceptance. You love them deeply, you want to help them to find a way to be happier. You know that an action causes ripples and more than one person is affected. You don't judge, you evaluate.. you see the lesson, you take no pride, there is no ego in the difference you make, your just glad they opened up to you and that meant you could be there for someone you cared and loved.. better than them hurting, you were there as a friend, a nurturer, someone who did the best they could for the people they love :)

A lot of people, and various religions, believe that people's souls get reincarnated back to Earth to learn "lessons" in humanity. The more lifetimes you live and your soul grows on Earth, the older your soul gets.
An "old soul" is a person who exhibits knowledge and understanding not generally attributable to her life experience.

My understanding to that is meant that your soul had travel this earth before and you know a lot at your age.

I believe it to be that your spirit reflects that of one that has passed before you, whether you knew them or not. And, that when we pass, we meet the soul we reflected.

you have the sprit of some one who has been through alot even if you your self are young. its some one telling you that you are a mature person or you maybe too synical
