indeed u can straighten your hair but it will last only until u wash your hair. U can buy yourself a ceramic plates device for straightening your hair. I recommend from Phylips. ceramic plates not made of iron!

Haircuts vary in price, but a good one is gonna cost $20 and up. Get a CHI iron they are expensive but some salons carry them, $200 is what I sell mine for. Why can't you perm it? As an alternative to the CHI iron. I don't see the problem with that. They can also chemically straighten your hair with large perm rods or straightener. Go in and get a consultation from a salon that will give you more info. Ask if they charge for the consult, some do and some don't.

Go to a hairdresser and have them show you how to do it properly (it doens't have to be permanent).

If you need to know right away, here is how I do it:
1.) Shampoo and condition your hair with a product that says it will "smooth" your hair.

2.) Lightly towel dry your hair (don't rub it... dab and press your hair, otherwise you might damage it).

3.) Apply a product that protects your hair from heat treatments (e.g. L'Oreal Studio Striaght Hair Cream)

4.) Blow dry your hair using a hairdryer with a nozzle and a round brush. Put the brush under your hair and point the nozzle directly at it. Do this until your hair is COMPLETELY dry. If you want spray some hair spray on your roots before you do this to give them some volume.

5.) If your hair is layered, use clips to divide the layers and then striaghten your hair. Good straighteners are ceramic coated (try Remington, Videl sasson or GHD). Straighten small amounts of hair at a time.

6.) Finish off with a sprtz of leave in conditioner or any product that will control fly aways.

Because of your ethnic background, it sounds as though your hair might be coarse in texture. So ALWAYS condition after you shampoo... other wise it might go dry.

Hope this helps :) A good salon visit also always does wonders!

Depending on where you like get you're hair professional straighten it it can cost anywhere from 30 to 50 dollars.. they do sell some shampoos that help but there are many hot wands that can work also .. they work just like curling irons and you can just pull it threw you're hair and it will straight it for a while.. this would be a daily thing you would have to do .. I have wavy hair also but after you get you're hair use to it, it will get easier to maintain and not take as much time

Not that expensive if you are getting it cut and dried straight.
You can although get your hair chemically straightened, like how you get a perm but it straightens your hair.
In the morning go over it with GHD straighteners and your hair will be sleek and sexy :)

try to rebond your hair. it's expensive but it's worth it. it'll last for a year. after you rebond your hair try the loreal intense repair (yellow) leave it for 30 min. and rinse it with warm water. use it for 3 month 2 a week. believe me it works = ) goodluck girl
