I am a saved woman with a daughter, been members at a local baptist church for the last year or so, my church is small and isn't growing and I have been praying about where the Holy spirit would want me. I am visiting several baptist churches, considering nondenominational and churches of God, looking for simular believing christains who could offer descipleship, bible studys, and good childrens minasterys that is growing. I am a lil confused about the different beliefs/denominations, I haven't been to my home church much at all because of visiting other churches and I feel overwhelmed, I read out of kjv and nlt. The reason I am looking at other churches is because of the church I have been attending is not growing and I have not been able to be discipled, I have been praying to God to lead me where He wants me. Any suggestions would be helpful, I am looking in the Franklin & Middletown Ohio area's Ohio.

Yes I have been very involved in church, I have been going to all the services, twice on sundays and the midweek service, I was doing Bible study on the OT and Discipleship until those classes had to stop because of teachers schedules. I have worked in the nursery and vocation Bible school last year. I have invited neighbors and friends and made visits to some friends that were unable to come.

Try attending a meeting of Jehovah's Witnesses. They are listed in the phone book and will gladly tell you their address and meeting times. They do not take collections or pressure you to join. My mother was baptist and looking for a good church and was very satisfied with what she learned at the Kingdom Hall.

How involved were you in your Home church... If you only went on sunday morning... and nothing else... its hard to get much out of church. are you involved in church ministry.. are you seeking where you can help your church grow... are you inviting your neighbors and friends to come with you? before you look else where look within... that is something that is taught through out the bible... **** Luck and I will pray for you. Some times God wants to to be moving where we are instead of going some place new... He who is faithful with little will be faithfull with much.

jennie m,
You gain much by personal study. All the things that God has for you are from Him. I would think that my guidance to you might compromise what God has planned for you. Trust God first.

What's your promise?

What promise that God has made in the scriptures fits the problem that you are having?

Does not God provide. Isn't it in His nature to keep you? Is he not your shepherd? In my Bible it says, " The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not have wants."

Trust Him. You shall not have wants.
