if you have problems handling it, you should probably stop.
If you are getting grief from others ant that's what you can't handle, it will help if you pinpoint your reasons for wanting to be veggie be it cruelty to animals, the fact that they're cute, the fact that it's ecologically sounder to be veg, the health factor, etc.
The best way to handle it is to learn how to cook veggie meals so that you can cook for everyone else rather than expect others to go out of their way for you and your dietary needs. They may be offended when they try to feed you and you refuse.

How to handle YOU being vegetarian or someone else?
If it's you, then just do it and don't worry about what anyone else thinks. When you eat with your friends or family, accept that occasionally you won't get to eat an amazing meal and will just have to "settle" for sides and a salad.
If this is about someone else, then don't let it bother you that they're vegetarian. Let them eat whatever they want, and don't make a huge issue about it. If they want to take you to a strange restaurant, try it. You might actually like the food.

There are different types of vegetarians. You should make the transition gradually. Many vegetarians still eat fish and dairy products. Don't try to do it over night. Phase out the meat and dairy if that's what you are aiming for. Just cut down to a few times a week and go from there. Try new foods to replace the meats. Start eating more beans, nuts, and fresh veggies. Try grilled portobello mushroom sandwiches. Yum!

Well, going veggie isn't too hard! Just read your labels to make sure the animal products you're avoiding and not listed. It's so much easier to live an animal free lifestyle these days. Most restaurants even have veggie options. Just make sure you're taking vitamins and eating the right kinds of food and you'll be fine!! Good luck!!

What do you mean? Dietary or socilally?
Dietary - I think it's pretty obvious. Don't eat meat, enjoy other stuff, discover new recipies that you'd never look at if you kept your meat-and-potatoe diet.
Socially - I prefer not to emphasise it. When going out with friends, I just order from the menu whatever veggie dish I like without even explaining it to anyone. If they have to know', I'll reply. This is my preference, not my religion. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, vegetarians and non-vegearians alike.

Nothing to handle. Make sure you eat lots of leafy green vegetables and oily nuts like peanuts to keep your iron levels up. Other than that, there's a gigantic array of foods you've probably never even tried before. I recommend buying a vegetarian cookbook and cooking up a storm.

When in Rome;
Make friends with like minded people
Always carry a covered dish to a dinner invite at a home(assuring yourself of one food you like/can eat)
Try to ask ahead of time if there will be vegetarian dishes available to suit your status of a vegetarian.
For those people that still don't get you being a vegetarian and ask "Can't you just pick the meat out?".... Wear your tee-shirt that says " Me Vegetarian...You Nut"... ;)

Being vegan isn't a bad thing...in fact, I LOVE some vegetarian food. It's healthy and over the years people have really taken veggie recipes another notch. Actually, I think it's cool to be a vegetarian, I would't mind being one if I didn't love meat so much...
Enjoy it. =]

It is very simple. But you will have to take a couple of glasses of milk everyday. Try the delicacies of vegetarians like the Indian (India in Asia) vegetarian food. That is very easy to prepare and is so varied and is a very healthy diet.

Knowing that you are able to do what many desire but do not find the control to do must make you feel good. Remember it is healthy and it doesnt cause hurt to nature's creatures. Vegtrarian food is believed to be Sattvic (according to hindu philosophy) which means it is likely to balance your desires and give you balanced thinking to accomplish your goals...and take you closer to the final understanding which is the purpose of life. Good luck.
