if she does have parvo and I put her down, how long do I have to wait or how to I kill the virus so I can get a new dog? Anyone know of a place in Michigan where I can adopt a puppy that will stay small?

What does she do? If you give her something with the eyedropper, I mean. How is it you can't get anything into her with the eyedropper.
Get canned puppy food or meat baby food and add enough water so that it's liquid. Then try again with the eyedropper, better is a baby medicine shooter. Put it to the back of her mouth on the outside of her teeth. Tip her head back and rub her throat. She should swallow. Don't hold her so tight that she chocks. You don't want to drown her either. Go slow and carefully.
Keep at it. Eventually you will get some in her. It's important that you get at least water in her. Pedialyte is even better. Dehydration can be just as fatal to babies as the disease.

this is why you should never buy a pet from anyone other than a reputable breeder - a reputable breeder would have given you (at least) a 1 yr health guarantee.
I sure hope the pup had shots and deworming before you got it? and had been seen by a vet?
otherwise I would ask you what you were doing paying for an unvaccinated dog (that is technically a mutt really - people who intentionally breed cross bred dogs are NEVER ethical and the parents are never good quality or they would have been used to breed purebreds)

I am sorry to say but you should call the breeder and INSIST they either pay your vet costs or take the puppy back.... time and time again I hear these stories where people buy pups only to watch them die because they bought from backyard breeders
NEVER NEVER pay a cent for a pet who hasnt been vet checked and vaccinated and comes with some sort of health guarantee (I am telling you this incase the pup doesnt make it and so you can give advice to people later on)

anyhow ok for the pup - GOOD QUALITY CHICKEN AND RICE PUPPY FOOD is best for her.. any foods you get from grocery or wal mart are crap - loaded with fillers - but switching her suddenly will be hard on her so do it gradually

RICE PABLUM is ok too, make sure its warm
have a warm hot water bottle for her as well and keep her in a warm room

good luck

Your vet should be doing more than just giving her antibiotics. Poor thing. There's a food sold in vet clinics called Hills a/d. It's packed with nutrience and is made to be real tastey. You can try using it to get ure puppy started eating. It's not to be used as a long term diet though, so if the pup likes it then gradually start mixing in some puppy food.
Also I find warming food in a microwave for a bit makes it smell more, therefore more appeasing to the animal.
If this doesn't get the pup eating, for sure it needs to see a vet again. Not eating is (of course) not a good thing.

Look into pet insurance! It won't cover this prob, but ure pup's still young and it's a good thing to have for the future.

Sounds like my dog when I first got him, he only weighed 15 ounces when I brought him home, hes a little over weight now and almost 5. I gave him tiny pieces of KFC with the skin removed and some luke warm tea with a little milk they were the only things I could get him to eat or drink, the vet tells me he is fine, healthy and happy still loves both and thinks of both as a treat ever since. Good luck, I hope to hear back from you telling me it worked for you and your puppy is doing well.

Wow, thats a really small puggle!
She really needs to be hospitalized if she isn't eating. Maybe you can work out a payment arrangement with your vet.
If not, call around to others and ask. Some vets take CareCredit, which is basically a credit card for emergency pet care.
Good luck

When my puppy got sick I fed her baby formula fortified with baby rice cereal (pablum) through an eye dropper and a bottle of pedialyte to prevent dehydration.

Go to a pet store and buy puppy milk, feed it to her in a bottle. If that doesn't work, call a vet it could be something more serious. They know what to do.

Did you buy her from a petstore? They get their pets from Back Yard Breeders and Puppy Mills (google these).. and learn from this experience in the future, and try to inform others about this.

You should tell your vet that it is not eating right away. You can try put a little salt in there mouth adn that might make it thirsty and i might drink. I have cats that are constantly skinny no matter how much they eat

Good luck
