No Ma'am.

Think about it like this: You hear of Bird Flu and everyone worrying about it "crossing over from Birds to humans," and in some case it HAS, but what THEIR real worry is that once in humans, it will be a "fast form of catching" and not like it is now, VERY HARD TO CATCH.

AIDS started similarly on the African Continent decades ago, its found a way to "broadcast itself swiftly" through mutation only around 2-3 decades ago. The way it was first spread was though was through the hunting of certain species of monkeys, who either bit or cut the hunters while they we're killing, cleaning or gutting the monkeys. This allowed the contaminated blood into their bloodstream where they passed it to their loved ones through bodily fluids through sex and contaminated blood. Thus, AIDS as we know it was born, is it anyones fault? Absolutely not, no more than cancer or leukemia or now, bird flu.

HIV/AIDSdoes not discriminate! This day and age, all those participating in unprotected sex are at risk. It doesn't matter on your sex, age, orientation or race. That being said, currently, there is a disproportionate amount of African Americans affected by this virus. Perhaps this could be the result of less condom usage with this population.

The rate of heterosexual transmission has also gone up but the rate of needle transmission (aka. drug use) has gone down.

Well, if 'bi' still means two and racial therefore means 2 races, then the answer is No. Like what was previously stated...he is only less than 1/4 African, the rest of that half is Arab/Egyptian, and the other half is Caucasian .

there was this story that my history teacher told me, although i dont know how true it is: a white bi piolet went to africa and contracted the diesease (dont ask me how) and then he flew back to america and gave it to his partners, including his wife. I DO know that hiv USED to be a gay white man's diesease. i agree with the person above me who said hiv is not prejudice, because its not, look how it spread.

It apparently originated in Africa from a virus that had mutated from one carried by a monkey. However it was brought into circulation by a French-Canadian Flight Attendant who later infected a "close friend" and so on.
In Africa it IS mostly a Black disease but NOT everywhere else.Elsewhere it is primarily a non-race specific infection spread either sexually or by blood-transfusion from a tainted source.

Anyone can get aids. It has nothing to do with race or religion or culture.

Look at different countries in the following link and you can see that this is a world wide problem.

HIV started in Africa because the people ate the monkey's brain tht wasn't cook enought. Monkeys carry the HIV, but it doesn't harm them (just like how sharks have cancer, but doesn't do anything to them) When the people eat the monkey, they get HIV. Then through sex, and etc, HIV spreads.

ANd your what kind of &*^*&^*&^*&. It's not a race or a gay disease or illness. It's a virus. It's transmitted thru body fluids. Anyone can "get" it. But more common in drug abusers (re-using needles) and unsafe sex practicers! Do a little homework. AND.....Hiv and AIDs are two different things.

More thank just black people have AIDS.

It just tends to spread rapidly among those blacks who live in Africa and do not have resources like we do here.

It derived out of Africa supposedly from Monkey's, but how it transferred to human is a mystery.
