We have seen in our own country that religious differences can continue for centuries. Similar events have been occurring in the Balkans and the Middle East for even longer. The problems of the latter two areas have now been imported to the UK by foolish, unthinking and ignorant politicians. They are not going to disappear by waving some magic Blair wand. Does he not realise that? Britons for many decades will now be living in the shadow of death and destruction. To compound it upwards of a million Eastern Europeans, many of whom are of Third World standard, gypsies, criminals etc, will be pouring into the country in 2007. God help us!

jayoftee, you're ignorant and a fool. For a start I was in Poland probably long before your parents were daft enough to conceive you. East German autobahns were not nice places to drive or stop on then. Poles were nice but virtually Third World. When the ceiling of your hotel toilet is covered in black fungus you know that. The worst hotel I have ever stayed in all my life was the Cosmos in Lubin, for one night only thank God. It was of latrine quality. So please don't tell me about Poland, and Bulgaria and Romania are even worse! And as far as joining the E.U fully don't make me laugh. I doubt that will ever come.

The Conservatives may have started the immigration into Britain but it was a trickle then and controlled. The Labour party have lost all control of it and we're being swamped by sewage from all over the planet.

Desperado. You're desperately vague. Where are all those colonies we let down. Is Canada one, is New Zealand, is Australia, is India, is Pakistan, is Bangladesh, the last 3 made a mess of it but that was mainly religion again, is Kenya, is Uganda, these last 2 were left in fine shape but were ruined by their own despotic rulers. Please tell the world Desperado!!

Better life, you're still an abysmal, misguided and misinformed little twit. And you're still telling lies. Please bog off to your homeland.

Where has Chrisyevans been living for however long? Blair has had 10 or so years to sort this out and he still hasn't got a clue.

They don't even know how many immigrants are living here.

We should have listened to Enoch Powell years ago he said this would happen and it has.

As a friend of some one who was raped by one of these so called refugees I would kick them all out.

They come here because like a bunch of flaming idiots that this government and all governments come to that give them a better standard of living. Have you seen how some of them live I have I've been to some of these countries and they live in hovels with no running water.

The government don't give a fig how the people of this country feel as long as they look good the the rest of the world.

I know a lot to people out there are going to be outraged at what I have said but I am only saying what most people think if they were truly honest. I haven't talked to anyone yet who has said "oh yes let them come and give them money and somewhere to live I don't mind paying for it."

There may well be some problems associated with the immigration of the Eastern Europeans to the UK, i agree.
To Label them Third World standard, Gypsies, criminals etc, is an absolute disgrace.
Being poor is no crime.

Take a look at football hooligans, drug addicts and thieves on your own doorstep.

I would much sooner have an Eastern European as a friend than you.

The quality of the motor ways, few as they are May be poor by UK standards, but they do the job.

I am English and choose to live in Poland.
I've seen more Graffiti and Filth in UK toilets in one single town in the UK than i have seen anywhere in Poland.

Been here two years now so have a fair idea of what this place is like.

As for your hotel room, just one of those things, if you don't like it don't come here.

I think the problem is they have no concept of the problem. Tony seems to think he will receive a sainthood for his work on immigration. An island can only take so many people. We now find we have to destroy green fields to house them. We need to close the door and take stock. How many do we need? How many should we send back and how quickly? That should take 5 years. If Blair and Bush can refrain from a couple of invasions for a while things should slow down. Illegals should be found and returned without hesitation. In reality Immigration officials will still let them in. The immigration appeal system will grind to a holt. We will not have enough centres to hold them. France will pay them to cross the channel. I am happy with honest people who go through the channels before they are here to apply. Still with all the British moving out and Labour giving the immigrants what they want we will have no escape as Labour will be in for years.

Some of your respondents have implied that the Tories started the immigration problem. In the fifties and early sixties the number of immigrants were a trickle compared with what has been allowed to happen in the last few years, and it was controlled immigration. It has to be said that at no time has immigration been included in the manifesto's of any political party
The British public have been presented with a 'fait accompli'.

I agree with your assessment of our position for the future, but I also feel that the country has been deliberately sabotaged.

The UK is one of the most densely populated countries on the planet. Yo Blair has no policy around population, so next year millions of impoverished Rumanians and Bulgarians will come streaming in, placing intolerable pressures on housing, health, schools, transport, police and an already strained social fabric.

Not a problem for Yo Blair though. He's already sorted with his new job and home in the US.

I absoloutley 100% agree with you, I salute your courage in asking the question and applaud you for standing your ground against some of the stupid dis-illusioned idiots who have slated you.
I remember when Blair was saying only 13000 people from the easten bloc would come here, two years on and there are some 700,000 here and the number is still rising, guess what so to is unemployment, currently at 1.7million. My only guess is that the bloke just doesn't care two hoots as he won't be standing for re-election.

Listen bloke, you already hate the Polish and other lads and you surely never been there. Do you really think people like to leave their countries and friends behind and comeover to some cold rainy country like ours? They must have one hell of a reason to do that. If you want to take no risk on Eastern European immigrants, join fully the E.U., so all our factories and companies can find a good reason to relocate over there. Anyway, it's about to happen. Don't be too afraid of the polish plumber; they like it very well over there...

The stinky BNP and racist **** like heavenlyhaggis are worse than islamist terrorist for the UK

Quiet obviously the multi-culture policy which introduced by Tory leader [Lady Thatcher],is a major cause of problem we face today.
a) crating segregation and isolations
b)has created many Ghettoes like close door moslim community which is a main source of islamist terrorist
b)has been a main obstacle of integration opportunity for new comers [well Tory would never like a integration, w’d they?]
c) Has given a chance to individual opportunist among minorities, as well as moslim communities to get lots of money from government and other charity resources in the name of cultural enhancement etc.
Some individual who has managerial jobs in those cultural community centres would try to get their money for this chaos.
Do you know how many organisations and how many people get huge money from the government for leading so called cultural communities?

They don't give a crap, it won't be their kids stick in a school where 100 different languages are spoken or living in a dirty town with drug dealing foreigners shooting each other.
Politicians will all be safe with big pensions and gated communities.
