Are there any restaurants here that specialize in Polynesian cuisine? I've always wanted to take him but can't seem to find one. Even one in a close state to us?
It would be great if you could help me.

My husband is from Hawaii and I'm from Guam. We miss the cuisine of the islands and we love to cook. Here's where we get some recipes. http://alohaworld.com/ono/index.php

Also, if you have a slow cooker, get a pork butt, or roast or even a chicken and you can have kalua style roast. Just add some rock salt and liquid smoke. Cook for a few hours, shred and then add some cabbage. That's a local treat and it smells delish. If you have a Trader Joe's nearby, they have a great Red Hawaiian Rock Salt.

There used to be a place called Taste of Paradise. But I know there is still a resteraunt in Provo. I would say to get recipes from his family or just ask which deishes he wants you to learn to make then get a cookbook. There is a Poly grocery store on 3500 So. Redwood rd. You can get frozen poi and pork for lau lau there. Also most asian marts in town have taro root and green bananas. There are lots of options. ut seriously a cookbook is your best option. I've been to a lot of resteraunts and somehow you never get the taste of an eating or luau unless you make it at home. Also you never get enough food for what you pay for.
