Well, even thought you were fasting, I'm assuming that you checked it the next morning that you last ate about midnight the night before. If so, that number isn't that high. However, if it remains that high or higher, then you might want to check it out with an MD.
Having a glucose level over a certin number does not mean that you are a diabetic. That cannot be diagnosed with one nimber and a little medical knowledge like a previous poster stated. You need to check your glucose on a more regular schedule and also inbclude a few fasting checks. If you are still concerned, then you should take all that data you collected and see your doc.
It's not something I would stress over, but I applaude you for at least showing concern at your health. Chances are if this is a low-grade Type II diabetis, it will most likely be controlled by diet, amd at worst one pill a day. But again, let your MD decide and good luck!

Fasting glucose normal level is between 80 and 120. You arent that far off. Why did you check your blood sugar today? Do you suspect something?
Considering the high reading, if you dont have diabetes, you need to see a doctor for a further work up due to your blood sugar level.

That all depends on what it was at midnight and if you had any lows or highs during the night, it will also depend on what you did and ate during the day before. Blood Sugars are NOT something you can check once and get a total reading it takes months sometimes years to get a total reading and by then you would have to start all over again.
Daily reads are required by all diabetics

I'm a 45 year old woman and was recently diagnosed as being a borderline diabetic. My doctor prescribed some medication, but before filling it I decided to do some research on the internet which led me to the methods. After reading this ebook and applying the methods, my scepticism turned to 100% belief. I noticed that my energy levels increased significantly and I felt more rested in the morning, my symptoms started going away.
I am very happy to tell you that I have been feeling better than I have felt in years and my doctor informed me that he will be taking me off my prescriptions if I keep this up.
I recommend you use the Type 2 Diabetes Destroyer to naturally reverse your diabetes.

80 to 120 is considered normal. You are slightly high but doctors don't start worrying until you are above 140. The morning sugar test is usually low..but it can climb during the day. If the blood sugar level is slightly high before bedtime, don't worry about it. It is best to be high before bedtime than low.

how long did you fast? eating that late and testing in the morning may not be a very low number. you need to fast for at least 10 hours. 128 is a good reading, but it could have been lower? you don't tell how long it was between the last snack and your gluose reading. its hard to tell. what was your snack? did you test at 10am or noon or was it earlier?

Yes, like they said, it's high. Though, you might not be diabetic... it could be a lot of things. You could have hypo/hyperglycemia, insulin resistance... anything. Make an appointment with your doctor if you're worried, but most people don't take their blood sugar counts, so usually the doctor would say something if they were concerned.
