It can very easily be stress-related, not necessarily a condition

A "pain in my heart" sounds like you have pain in the center of your chest - or close to it.
There are many things that can cause such pains which an ECHO will not show.
An ECHOcardiogram is an ultrasound study of the heart. It will take a picture using sound waves and in real time so you can watch the heart as it is beating. You can see the movement of the heart valves and such thing.
An ECHO is useful in looking at the movement of the heart muscle (poor if you have had a Heart Attack (myocardial infarction) or have some abnormality of heart muscle wall)
If the trouble is some disease of the heart, or perhaps not even a disease of the heart that causes a similar pain, you can have a normal ECHO but still be having the pains.
Such diseases include:
Heart - pericarditis (often viral or sometimes autoimmune) - myocarditis - these will often have some other findings on ECHO, though, like fluid around the heart or such
Lung - pleurisy
Esophagus - Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD)
Stomach - ulcers, gastritis
Chest wall - muscle strains/sprains, bony pain (many causes)
Anxiety and palpitations
YOU SHOULD:
reduce stress
take simple painkillers in the first place
see your doctor again and ask for a better explanation
consider the alternatives listed above for possible investigation, discuss this with your doctor

Medical science has recently proven that people who have suffered great loss, such as death of a loved one, break-up, can feel all the symptoms of a heart attack. The phrase "broken heart" was not coined by accident. In addition, negative stress, which is accumulative, can cause pain. You said the physicians could not give an acceptable answer. But medicine is not an exact science like math. There are other things that affect our bodies besides the accepted norm. Most recently, my elderly friend began to feel better immediately, just after I insisted on improving his living quarters. I introduced live plants, a troplical fish tank, and other changes in his apartment. Before that, there was no "life" in his home. Perhaps you should look inside yourself to find an answer. Is your lifestyle healthy for you? Do you give time to meditation and reflection. Are you always on the go? Do you worry a lot? Fear? Is there unforgiveness? Hate? Think about it. Usually the answers we seek are right inside us.

Pain in the chest is not always diagnosed by an echo.
They need to do Ecg, maybe a stress test or Nuclear stress test, or possibly a cardiac cath.
Or it may not be heart related at all. You could have other things Causing your chest pains.
Like:
Lungs
Bronchia
Esophigus
Gall bladder
Hormone imbalance
Cancer
A lot of others too, even gas !
So it could be a whole bunch of things.
Just keep going back until they find it. But Appearently you are not having a heart attack or they would have kept you in the hospital. So that means you will be around for a while to have other tests done.
:o)
