I've been diagnosed with Osgood Schlatter Disease, which is a condition of a knee tendant that appears in athletic adolescents. I hate to admit it to anyone, including myself, but I'm scared. Does anyone have any advice for me? I know a bit about it, but still. Any body else have Osgood Schlatter, too?

I had it as a young man, and it was quite painful at times. The good thing about it is that you eventually grow out of it.Check out this link.

My little brother has this and it hasn't affected him very much. He has had since he was 14 and he is 20 now and he still skateboards everyday. You'll be fine, just make sure you do what ever physical therapy things they tell you to do.

It's what old people once called growing pains. It just has a name now. It will most likely go away once you get out of your growth spurt (teens). You'll be fine. Just do like you're suppose to do when it flares up.

It's not a disease it's a condition.
My son was diagnosed with it when he was five which was 35 years ago after damaging his knee.
It's not caused any real problems for him since - just take it easy.
