There is a Swedish store on Foster Ave in Chicago, it has everything!!! I checked the internet & found this; it may be dated information, but both these places are indeed there & if they don't have it will surely tell you how.
Sweden Shop 3304 W Foster Ave., Chicago, 60625. Phone 312*-478-0327
(*area code is probably 773 now)
The Swedish American Museum Center, 5211 N Clark St., Chicago, 11160640. Phone 312*-728-8111. Open Tue-Fri I1 am4pm and Sat- Sun 11 am-3pm
(*area code is probably 773 now)
There is also a Swedish deli across the street from the museum maybe a block away, don't recall the name but surely someone knows? It's great. Roe paste in a toothpaste tube? check....

That's what commercials are for. If you do not buy (or at least want to buy) the product it only shows that the advertisement is not that effective. Awareness is what they're trying to achieve. You may not need the product now but when the need arise, advertisers want you to think first of their ad and their product.

Mmmm... there is a little Danish village in Southern California called Solvang. You can buy melt-in-your-mouth fresh cooked aebleskivers with lingonberry jam at half a dozen really good restaurants down there, and it is a treat.
You can buy just the jam, as well as many other Dutch, Danish and Scandinavian food products, from Neilsen's Market in Solvang.

I tried finding lingonberry products other than IKEA (because it's far away from me) and I know definitely that they sell the jam at Hiller's grocery store.
http://www.hillers.com/
However, I don't think that's a nationwide chain. The nationwide grocery chains I think will carry lingonberry jam are Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe's.
Here are some websites that sell the jam:
http://www.swedensbest.com/lin.html
http://www.igourmet.com/shoppe/prodview.asp?cat=&subcat=&prod=023&source=pepperjam*google*preserves+campaign&gclid=CJXyk4m_3YYCFRv7SAodAydX5w
http://www.amazon.com/s.html/104-4446621-0794323?ie=UTF8&node=3580501&field-keywords=lingonberry%20jam
Hope that helps~!
