depends on the time of the year...
Right now strawberries, raspberries, blackberries and cherries are wonderful. I'd always recommend going with the fruit that is in season.
A simple and easy dessert is angel food cake with fresh berries and whipped cream.

Strawberry Angel Food Cake
1 storebought Angel Food cake, torn into bite sized pieces
1 (8oz.) package no fat cream cheese, softened
1 (12 oz.) container light whipped cream
2/3 cup powdered sugar
2 lbs. fresh strawberries, sliced
With electric mixer, mix together the cream cheese, whipped cream and powdered sugar.
In a large clear glass bowl, layer half of the cake, spread half of the cream cheese mixure over that, then half of the strawberries. Repeat layers, ending with strawberries.
Chill until ready to serve.

A really wonderful dessert is raspberries soaked in Grand Marnier served on angel food cake and topped with orange flavored whipped cream with a little orange zest for garni.

I don't usually respond to poll questions, but you touch upon a subject dear to my heart.
I mostly don't care what kind of fruit. I just love fruit. Fresh, dried, canned, whole of fixed into something.
Particularly pies. I adore fruit pies. I don't mean kind a fake pruit pies like lemon merengue of key lime pies. I mean pies with big chunks of fruit, baked right into them. Apples, cherries strawberries, and my all time favorite, peach pie. Ooh, ooh, I almost forgot pineapple.
I love cobblers, purees, jams, preserves, turnovers, smoothies, shakes and nearly ALL things fruit.
Keep in mind, I am a die hard carnivore. I also LIKE my veggies, but I LOVE fruit.
