...Also what would you recocommend if I don't plan on smoking some for a few months: taking the cigars out of their wrappers and into a humidor; with the wrapper in the humidor; or just leave in the wrapper?

Always leave the cigars in their wrappers when in the humidor, unless you plan on using the same humidor for the same exact cigars forever. Otherwise the individual characteristics will mesh together. They will keep just as fresh in the wrapper as without. If you can't put it in a humidor for a period of time, they will probably only stay fresh for a few days. Also, always use distilled water in your humidor. It won't impart any unwanted tastes into the cigar.

HI,,, they get dry in or out of the wrapper.....dont wait too long...

previous poster is clueless. in case you have not got a humidor, any small air and water tight Rubbermaid sort field will artwork. it won't age, however. in case you surely need to keep and age them, the only element you're able to do is purchase a perfect humidor
