I believe fuel/gel burner is best for fondues either savoury or sweet. All good chefs recommend fuel for better cooking.

fuel gel burner of courxe it is original made for fondue it is same taste that was hundreds years ago

I like electric, I never have to worry about the fumes from the fule/gel bothering anyone and also I don' have to go out and by the fule/gel.
