Tell her to QUIT smoking and stay away from people who smoke. Some people react more violently to smoke than others. She could be allergic to smoke. (it could be a newly developed allergy)

The "medicine" is abstinence. If you don't smoke, you don't have the symptoms. Introducing smoke into your lungs damages and destroys them, thus producing the symptoms. No medication can reverse that. Bronchodilators and steroids might mask the symptoms temporarily, but essentially, you're trying to stop an expanding leak in a dam with a bandaid.

Just stop smoking, and solve your problem (and prevent future problems).

Yeah, tell her to smoke some more and eventually the feeling goes away. Oh - tell her to never smoke on an empty stomach or she may puke.

Smoker 7 years and going strong, I haven't felt a tight throat or coughed since the last time I tried to quit!

She has a cold. Ask her to take Nyquil which has a decongestant which will help get rid of tight chest and the congested nose. It also has acetaminophen which will get rid of her feeling of sickness. Once she can expectorate all her mucus her lungs will feel better. If that doesn't do it, try Mucinex.

Smoking aggravates the sinuses and causes bronchitis. I know, I smoke and have both all the time. I'm going to try to quit soon though. After 11 yrs. I've finally decided it's no good for anything.

She is probably allergic to smoke. Has she ever smoked before? When you said she got sick, I thought maybe she was pregnant because my cousin got sick when she smoked and was pregnant. Of course, she didn't know yet that she was pregnant. Sounds to me like she is allergic. It should clear up in a few days. Maybe tell her to take some benedryl or anti-allergin meds.

How about not smoking? Besides that fact that smoking is pretty much bad for you in every way it also stinks and tell me, do you really want to kiss your gf right now?

She might be having a bronchitis attack or at least that what it sounds like. She needs to go to a doctor and they will give her some medicine to get her breathing back to normal and she might need an inhaler.

You should consider getting a new girlfriend. Smoking is stupid.
