Vascular inflammation is another name for atherosclerosis. Atherosclerosis is a build up of placque in the blood vessels that leads to inflammation and blockage.

Vascular inflammation is NOT the same as atherosclerosis.
It is the inflammation (from a number of sources, such as a clot) of the tissues in the blood vessel walls.
