it's called angina
go see a doctor, as it's a sign of underlying heart disease
you're NOT having heart attacks--don't listen to these people, just go see a doctor--relatively soon if possible

Something reasonable to do would be to see a doctor immediately. The pain is caused by blocked arteries and is probably only angina. If you don't get it seen to the pain will only get worse and more frequest and then result in a heart attack. A simple blood test will reveal whether certain enzymes are in your blood, if these enzymes are there it means you're on the way to a heart attack. The heart will release these enzymes into the bloodstream when it is under pressure, the blocked artery could be putting your heart under pressure. I know all this because I've been through it. Get to a doctor now! Please!

The pain may be for two reasons -- either it a gastric related pain or may a impending heart problem. Any general medicine doctor can ascertain the probable cause. If you have any family history or ascertains that this is not a gastric problem, he may suggest you simple tests like ECG and Blood cholesterol (Lipid Profile) test. These are not that costly. But can detect any alarmimg situations. If they detect any abnormality in this then you may have to go a heart or cardiac specialist.

HEY DON'T WORRY
IT'S JUST A PROBLEM OF INDIGESTION, IT'S NOTHING A HEART PROBLEM.
DO U VOMIT AFTER THAT?????? IF U IT IS BECAUSE THE GAS COMES NEAR UE CHEST N U FEEL LIKE PAIN. BUT IF U THINK IT'S SOMETHING DIFFERENT U SHOULD GO SEE A DOCTOR
IF U HAD IT SUDDENLY N U DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO THEN JUST HAVE "ENO" OR A GLASS OF "PEPSI OR COKE".
BUT IT WILL BE GOOD IF U HAVE AN ADVICE FROM UR DOCTOR.

You seem to be neglecting your health.
Have you taken it as a joke ?
You age is not known to me..and also any habits like smoking ?
Considering the increasing incidences of heart diseases in our society, i would advise the following , that too , to be done immediately.
1. Consult a cardiologist immdtly, as any pain above the umbilicus is to be considered as of cardiac origin unless proved otherwise.
2. You may need to undergo the tests (under the supervision of a cardiologist) like ECG, TMT and Threadmill inorder to rule out the pain of cardiac origin.
At the same time, cut out / stop all habits like smoking, chewing tobacco etc.
Also let me wish that it is nothing serious and may be only a muscular pull ! But before relaxing, rule out the pain of cardiac origin !
My best wishes !

Same thing was happening to my boss last year. She started taking a calcium supplement and that worked. If you are male, could be anxiety, but you should get checked out either way. Your doctor will probably monitor your blood pressure and recommend a stress test. Good luck!

i get chest pains every once in awhile (but i also see a cardiologist, having had a heart problem since birth).
there are various explanations for what the pains could be. heart burn, angina, growth spurts, etc. i've always find that when i get chest pains, forcing myself to breathe in deeply and sitting up straight will help them go away faster.
but i'd say go to the doc just to get it checked out. there's no point in worrying about it and not knowing what it is when you can just go get it checked it.
best wishes :D

Angina or high blood pressure? Either way you should be getting to a doctor to find out. It could also be an anxiety attack depending on what happens to start it up. Go see your doctor that is really important it could be a heart attack. Good luck

there are other reasons besides heart disease that can cause chest pain.....like problems with your lungs, stomach problems/acid reflux....but i would definitely go talk to my doctor...he may have you wear a holter monitor, which is like a small device worn that monitors your heart. you press on the button on it whenever you have the symptoms you have been having, and it records what kind of problems your heart is having. i wouldn't put it off...it may be something simple, or it may be serious...either way, you need to know in case you need further treatment

I agree with B. See a doctor it could be Panic attacks or a prelude to a heart attack, and don't stop bugging doctors until you get an answer and resolution. Sometimes they will pass you off or offer you the latest drug. So do your research.
