Vegetable Chop Suey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons sherry
2 tablespoons water
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 teaspoon sugar
2 tablespoons peanut or vegetable oil
2 stalks celery, sliced
1 cup sliced mushrooms
1 can (16 ounces) bean sprouts, rinsed and drained
1/4 cup pimiento, chopped
In small cup, mix together soy sauce, sherry, water, corn starch, and sugar. In Farberware® Electric wok, add oil. Set heat control dial at 350°F. When light goes out, add onion, celery and mushroom; stir-fry 2 minutes or until onion is tender. Add bean sprouts and pimiento; stir-fry 1 minute. Stir in corn starch mixture, stirring constantly until mixture boils 1 minute.
Note: Cooked sliced beef, pork, chicken or shrimp may be added to this dish. Stir in with bean sprouts.

Reduce heat to maintain pressure; cook for 2 minutes. Quick-release pressure. Combine soy sauce and cornstarch with a little water until smooth. Return open cooker to heat and stir in cornstarch mixture. Cook, stirring constantly, until thickened.

1 can (14 oz.) tomato puree
Salt and pepper, to taste
1-1/2 tsp. onion powder
3/4 lb. elbow macaroni, cooked
Brown ground beef in a large pan. Add the onions, celery, and peppers and saute. Drain off the fat. Add puree and crushed tomatoes, basil, oregano, salt and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes. Add cooked elbow macaroni and heat through.

Vegetarian Chop Suey Recipe
Ingredients :

Wooden Ears, dried
Broccoli
Bamboo shoots
Mushrooms
Oil
Salt
Sugar
Spring onions (scallions), finely chopped
Light soy sauce
Rice wine or dry sherry
Cornflour, mixed with 1 tablespoon cold
water
Method :
Cut the bean curd into about 24 small pieces.
Soak the Wooden Ears in water for about 35 minutes, rinse them clean and discard any hard roots.
Cut the broccoli and bamboo shoots into uniformly small pieces.
Heat a wok over a high heat, Add about half of the oil and wait for it to smoke.
Swirl the pan so that its surface is well greased.
Add the bean curd pieces and shallow-fry them on both sides until golden.
Then scoop them out with a slotted spoon and set them aside.
Heat the remaining oil and add the broccoli.
Stir for about 30 seconds and then add the Wooden Ears, bamboo shoots and the partly cooked bean curd.
Continue stirring for 1 minute and then add the salt, sugar, spring onions, soy sauce and wine.
Blend well and when the gravy starts to boil, thicken it with the cornflour and water mixture.
Serve hot.

American style Either u can boil noodles or fry it.Half cooked vegs like carrot,beans,cabbage.In a pan pour little oil add sliced onion cook for a while add vegs fry it.In another pan take butter add maida fry till lite pink.Add soya sauce,vinger,chillsauce&salt. Put this in the vegs cook for sometime. serve it immediatly.

American Chop Suey
Ingredients
***FOR VEG. STIRFRY***
1 carrot
10 runner beans; (10 to 12)
1 tb cabbage
1 tb beansprouts; (optional)
1onion
1 potato
salt to taste
1 tb oil or butter
***FOR GRAVY***
1 c tomato puree
1 tb cornflour
2 ts sugar
1/2 ts ginger & garlic paste
1/2 ts red chilli powder or paste
1 tb tomato sauce
salt to taste
fried noodles
1 tb butter
Instructions
For Gravy:
Melt fat add all pastes and stir. Add puree, bring to a boil.
Add 1 1/2 cups water, boil for 5 minutes.
Make paste of cornflour with 2-3 tablespoon of water. Keep aside.
Add chilli, salt, sauce, sugar, stir.
Add cornflour paste, continuously stirring to avoid lumps.
Add 1/4 of noodles.
Boil for 2-3 minutes, keep aside.
For Veg.stirfry:
Cut vegetables into thin julienne strips.
Heat fat in a nonstick or heavy pan.
Add vegetables and stirfry on high till crisp.
Add salt, stir.
Just before serving, add to the boiling gravy.
Pour into serving dish, spread the fried noodles on top.
Serve piping hot.
Note:
For quick fried noodles, dry roast hakka or instant noodles till light.
Deep fry in hot oil till crisp.
Or blanch in boiling water till limp. Drain and towel dry.
Deep fry till crisp.
Making time: 30 minutes

Ingredients :
120g tin bamboo shoots
3 tablespoon oil
3 shallots, sliced
200g carrots, sliced
150g cauliflower, sliced
120g bean sprouts
Fennel
1 pinch salt
1 pinch sugar
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1 tablespoon chopped celery
Pepper
2 tablespoon soy sauce
Recipe :
Chop the bamboo shoots.
Heat oil in a frying pan, brown shallots, bamboo, carrots and fennel for a minute.
Add the cauliflower, bean sprouts, sugar, 3 tablespoons water and 2 tablespoons soy sauce. Cook for 3 minutes.
Season, sprinkle with parsley and celery.
Advice :
Serve with a Chinese beer, like Shanghai or Tsingtao
