Sorry about the bad spelling, but I love eating this broiling hot tofu soup and all the accompanying side dishes. Any recipes on how to try making this soup at home?

Soondubu jjigae is my favorite Korean dish! I commend you for trying to make it on your own, I should probably learn how to from my mom, but since I don't have her recipe, here are two great websites with Korean recipes:

http://www.xanga.com/koreancooking
(This site does not have soondubu, but a lot of other recipes).

http://www.trifood.com

The two websites have not just soondubu but banchan (side dish) recipes as well, and additional information about Korean food.

And specifically, the soondubu jjigae recipe:

http://www.trifood.com/soondooboochigae.html

Though it will be hard getting the authentic taste without the hot stoneware pot, the recipe above is nearly the same as the one my mom uses to make her jjigae.

Also, if you don't live near a big city that has Korean groceries, here are two online websites that can ship you ingredients, etc:

http://www.kgrocer.com

http://www.iKoreaPlaza.com

Hope that helps, good luck with your cooking~!

here's a recipe. i like to add a tablespoon of sesame oil and i use more red pepper flakes. keep in mind the red pepper flakes in this recipe is not crush red pepper that you would put on pizza. it's a different kind of seasoning that you have to go buy at an asian grocery store.
