no.their diet is said to be the healthiest as no frying or what-so-ever is done to ur california roll right?so there is no need to worry.but maybe the rice part may seem fattening, but so what?it beats eating fried food that won't keep u so full.what's more,it's healthy!

Doubtful. Unless of course one were to eat ridiculous amounts of sushi. California rolls and the like contain a variety of veggies, fish by products, and, on occasion, dairy products. Bona fide sushi generally contains raw fish (sometimes pork), rice, wasabi sauce (kind of like horse radish), and egg-all very healthy foods low in fat, high in protein and carbs. Of course, if you were to eat sushi in undue quantities you would get fat.

Perhaps liver flukes from raw fish or pork (does trichanosis make you fat? There's a good question...) might cause a person to start storing fat but I don't have any medical background to confirm this, just a possibility.

Japanese sushis don't make you fat. In the opposite way it makes gives you low calories but only sushi with a sashimi. Sushi with a sashimi is good for dinner too.

Sushi made right is low in fat and has excellent vitamins and fish oils, but that's only if you stick to the real sushi. Don't eat the American style sushi which has lots of nasty ingredients and extra junk.

how many calories they contain depends on their content there are so many varieties with different fillings, I try not to select the ones that have a creamy mayonnaise in them and opt for salmon or chicken ( - the mayo) vegetarian ones are good too, they are not fattening but too much of anything isn't good for you, they don't contain a lot of rice so there's not too many carbs in them. They are a very healthy alternative

what you need to stay away from is too much rice (calories) and the cream cheese (fat calories)... everything else is good source of protein and not very fattening... japanese food is among the healthiest on earth
