You can add it if you like but I never would, there is to much data that points to NutraSweet and Splenda being bad for your health. NutraSweet (aspartame) in it's many forms is a cancer causing agent and Splenda is not any better (bleached sugar) because chlorine is also bad for your health. Someone mentioned Stevia and this is a great sweetener for Tea's and fruit juice's. My wife is currently battling lymphoma and the suspect cause is aspartame. The link below has great info for your health and it looks like a lot of people could use this information from the answers here.

No because Sweet n Low is not sugar, but I would question using Sweet n Low, because it tastes like Satan's armpit. Why not use Stevia or Splenda? They taste more like sugar.

It will not raise your blood sugar BUT adding anything too much will cause some type of damage to your body either now or later.
Try to cut back to one or two packs. AND how many glasses are you drinking per day?
You have to begin to think of kidney & heart care too.

My mom is a diabetic, my dad is, and my brother. I am borderline so I drink diet drinks also. I use sweet and low and my parents and brother do to and it has never bothered them or me. It is NOT sugar. You will be fine.

No, not at all, I use it all the time. You could add 10 packets if you wanted.

Just remember that you have to count carbs no matter what you're eating and adjust your insulin that way. If you are type 2 you don't have insulin so keep your carbs to a minimum
