Actually Bob Marley was vegetarian, doesn't mean all people with dreadlocks are though.

The answer is no. My hubby has dreads and he likes to eat meat, I am a vegan and I don't wear dreads. There are some vegetarians/vegans with dreads, but actually, do you really think my mom who is a vegetarian and is 55 years old ever thought about getting dreads? I think no way...

It isn't some sort of requirement that people with dreadlocks must be vegetarians. Perhaps many of the people you have met who have dreadlocks choose to not eat meat as a personal thing, it has nothing to do with the hair on their head. I am a vegan and I don't have dreadlocks, so it doesn't go the other way either.

The short answer is no.
A longer answer would have to cover the fact that Rastafarians should not kill. There is a commandment in the bible that covers this fro Christians, too.
Not 'thou shalt not kill except if the governament tells you to'
Not 'Thou shalt not kill unless they are a Jew, Hindu, Muslim or of another colour'
Not 'Thou shalt not kill unless they have upset you in some way'
Not 'Thou shalt not kill unless it would go well on a barbie'
Not 'Thou shalt not kill unless it is of another spieces'
So any Rasta who follows the true religion will be a vegetarian.
But not all are, and not all who wear the dreads are Rasta.

recently in the grocery store I met a man with dredlocks. He and I had a really interesting chat. Yes, he was a Rastafarian but he was purchasing some catfish. I asked him about the fish too and he said with a smile "I'm going to fry it"
SOOOO, I guess not everyone with Dreds and not every Rastafarian is a vegetarian.

Some are. The religion of Rastafarianism, which is common among people of african descent and reggae fans who wear dreadlocks, taught that killing was wrong. So all followers of the religion didn't eat meat or any foods that were harvested while killing the plant. However, this religion was considered a cult so most people who have dreadlocks now do not follow the Rastafarian religion.

Not necessarily, but Rastafarian's have dreads, are veg and smoke the ganja. Not everyone with dreads is a Rastafarian, some are just hippies or kids who want to anger their parents by not washing.
