My friend and I were arguing that about syrup sandwiches. If you grew up in the hood, you probably had one. I grew up on the Southside of Chicago, and I have eaten them. let me know what you all think.

See, I knew there were other people in the world who'd had 'em. And for all those people who said eewww- I think a mayo sandwich is disgusting. Mayo? Gross.

Hell yeah, when I didn't have anything in the house, I get myself two pieces of bread and put some Aunt Jemina syrup. You don't have to be in the ghetto to eat a syrup sandwich.

I grew up on the East Coast of Scotland and my Grandma, who was from the Edinburgh area, gave my Lyle's Golden Syrup sandwiches as a treat. It was the memory of this that lead me to do a Google search to see how common this was and to this question...

I know this was A Decad ago OML but YES I LOVE THEM my mom and everyone else in my household thinks its disgusting... The rest of the world dont know what they're missing. I just had one for Breakfast this morning. And i live in NY, On Staten Island, Not the South Or BK Or Compton, So it isn't a Hood or Southern Thing!

I used to mix peanut butter, syrup, and butter in a bowl , then spread on toast. I also grew up on banana and mayonnaise sandwiches...yes they are gross, but my mom swears by them.

I grew up in vermont and yes when i as a kid i ate syrup sandwiches we however had real syrup not that sugarbeet wanna be stuff. I loved em however they made me thirsty. when i had a sore throat my mom would give me one it would sooth my throat. i preferred mine toasted with p&j. now adays my fillings won't tolerate a syrup sandwich wonder why?

I have eaten syrup,mayonnaise,barb-b-Que sauce,jelly,and peanut butter samitches.I had 5 sisters and 3 brothers.
