NO three-day diets works. You can't lose 40 pounds a month while living a healthy life. It's not possible, and even if it were, it would be so disgustingly bad for your body that it would probably wind you up in a hospital. I pray no one tries it, as even if it works, it will end up with you having massive kidney failure. Dying is a good way to lose weight quickly, after all.

You can eat a healthy diet and exercise. You can lose 2-4 pounds a week in a healthy diet. It takes time to lose weight, but it's better to do it the right way. That will help you keep it off, live longer, feel better, and will put you in good living habits. Diets, especially ones that promise massive weight loss, are horrible. You should be aiming to make life changes, not temporarily eat a different way to skim weight off.

To be honest, diets that consist of anything other than "eat less calories" and "excercise more" are basically bull-honky.

Diet fads are designed to appeal to you beacuse they promise fast results and what not. But if they worked for real, then wouldn't more people be doing it? That's something you should definitely ask yourself.

The only way you can lose weight is to take in less calories (meaning don't eat a lot of fatty foods or sugary stuff too often), and excercise. I dropped 20 pounds in 2 months while in Basic Training, and it was because I ate less fatty foods, and got worked out to death.

If a diet promises you'll lose weight without doing anything, the only thing they're promising you is that you'll lose money, but feel better about yourself. And then when you still look roughly the same (assuming you didn't do anything else different besides taking whatever they tell you to), they may tell you "results may vary" to cover their butts.

I know it's appealing to lose 40 pounds in a month, but if you really did lose that much weight that fast, that's actually unhealthy, and you might have some kind of disease or illness you might want to get checked out.

Sorry, this probably isn't what you wanted to hear. But I'm telling you the truth, any diet fad that says you'll lose gobs of weight without doing anything other than excercise and eating less calories is lying to you.

See, I just gave you practical advice on how to lose weight for free, no need to spend 50 bucks for someone who will probably just tell you to do the same thing (this goes for anyone who's reading this, not just the original poster).

For ANY diet to work:
You have to use more calories than you take in.

To lose ONE pound of fat = 3500 calories
You can either cut out 3500 from your diet
Or you can exercise 3500 more calories, i.e. on the treadmill

It can be a combonation of them both, 1/2 less cals, 1/2 working out

When you first start a diet you burn off the glycogen stored in your liver, this is a lot like "corn syrup" your body keeps for fast energy, like if you need to run away from a bear.

When you start a new diet and you lose 5 pounds the first week and every one says it is "water weight"??? What they really mean is that you have used up your glycogen stores, which holds a lot of water.

Think about if you boiled corn syrup in a pan, how much steam (water) would come off. Now think about if you boiled butter in a pan, comparitivly, very little steam (water) would come off.

So not counting that very first few pounds of "water" weight. How much "fat" weight can you lose in a month?

IS 40 POUNDS POSSIBLE? lets try the math.

The average woman eats 2000 calories a day.

Lets say we cut 500 calories a day, bring her down to 1500.
500 calories x 30 days = 15,000 calories cut
15,000 / 3,500 per pound = 4.29 pounds lost

The bare minimum calories your body needs to run is 1200
So lets say we cut 800 calories?
800 calories x 30 days = 24,000 calories cut
24,000 / 3,500 per pound = 6.86 pounds lost

Ok how about adding in some exercise? If you work out at a HIGH intensity for an hour everyday. You MIGHT be able to burn 500 calories, Or at a moderate rate for 1 1/2 - 2 hours. Provided you have that amount of time in your schedule.

So that could double your weight lose if you were at 1500 calories...
from 4.29 pounds lost
to 8.58 pounds lost.

Lets say you were on the Ultra strict plan, 1200 cal?
AND you could work out 4 hour a day to lose anouther 800 cals?
So you could double:
6.86 pounds lost
to 13.72 pounds lost

STILL NO WEAR NEAR 40 pounds.

Math doesnt lie.
Weight loss companies that claim you can lose more than 1-2 pounds a week are lying.

IF you want to do yourself some good Try weight watchers. I have been on it 13 weeks and lost 31 pounds. Now that is the real deal.

I'm afraid that all the gimmicks just don't work. Eating a good low fat balanced diet full of fruits and vegetables and exercise is the only way to do it and keep it off. It will also make you feel better.

I searched for the perfect pill to lose my weight and it just isn't out there. And most of the weight loss pill, especially ones containing caffeine will only make you more hungry.

Good Luck!

Sorry Hun but that diet is called purging..It doesn't work..You sound like you may be one step away from Bulimia. You don't sound fat. No matter how much you try getting around it, proper eating and the dirty word...Exercise are the only thing that will work..Get some help from a professional, family, friends..? Good Luck !!

That's ridicuolus and a scam. Real weight loss takes discipline, period. You have to commit to eat healthy and exercise regularly. No pills, no magic weight loss potions....if a good body came in a pill then everyone would have one!
