I don't claim to be a christian, I am a christian. I acknowledged that God is real and I asked him to forgive my sins. The bible is not a theme at all. It is a guide. It answers questions that we as Christians ask in our lives. Do you think that we believe we are so holy? None of us is with out sin. We try our best every day to do what is right but we always fall short. You think I don't want to get angry? You think I don't have thoughts that other people have. I strive to be better than what I am. I think that is what the theme of the bible is. What would Jesus do? How would Jesus feel? Jesus wept. Jesus got angry. None of us is God or will ever be God. We can only be as strong as we ask God to make us. This world is rough. and we all fall short. Through the bible I believe that God does understand and does forgive us. and loves us regardless of our downfalls. If I did not have God in my life I would have no hope at all.

Yes I do read the Bible. Thee is not enough space to explain the overall theme to the Bible here. Try reading it for yourself, you might find it enlightening. Whether you believe or not then you can have some educated discussions about it.

In a nutshell: God gave us the Ten Commandments. We should try to live not breaking them. No one will live without sin and that is why Jesus came to us. God gave his only child to cleanse us of our sins. If we accept Jesus into our heart we will be saved.

Peace

I read my Bible everyday. The overall theme of the Bible is love, selflessness, and humility thru the blood of Jesus Christ.

I struggled with reading my Bible for a long time because some translations are so hard to comprehend. If you are having the same problem, I suggest the International Children's Bible as a starter. I had originally gotten it for my daughter but instead kept it for myself because it helps me to understand the scriptures. It is very interesting and enlightening.

I read it but I'll admit not nearly as much as I should
anyway the Bible is basically about Gods plan
Gods will
Gods instructions for us
God showing how much He loves us
ya basically the theme is God lol

The overall theme of the Bible is dealing with God's interaction with man. From the original time of creation when God walked with man in the garden to the fall of man. It continues through God seeting everything in motion to reconcile man to Him and the eventual carrying out of that plan.

I'm not Christian, but I read the Bible because it's interesting. I don't really see an overall theme other than serve God and he'll take care of you.

Yes I read my Bible daily. The overall theme is God and it is evident that you have never even opened a Bible or you would know that!

Love.

And yes I read and study my Bible, but I'll admit, not as much as I use to or need to be doing. In this department, I have slipped and failed and the Lord is on me about that. I know what is right and just haven't done it.
